TORONTO, ON – Oxford Properties Group (“Oxford”), a leading global real estate investor, developer and manager has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2024. This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations. These organizations are setting new standards and achieving remarkable milestones in all sectors of the economy

Daniel O’Donnell, Senior Vice President, Brand, Marketing and Communications at Oxford Properties, commented: “To make Fast Company’s list just once is an achievement, but to make it for five years running is testament to our people’s commitment to continually improve and, year after year, set new standards for the real estate industry. A key reason Fast Company again selected Oxford is we embed ESG across all aspects of our business. From opening North America’s first new Zero Carbon-Design high-rise office tower, The Stack, in Vancouver last year; to progressing our $1 billion impact investment commitment at our Navy Yard project in Philadelphia, ESG is a core consideration in everything we do. It is central to Oxford's overall goal to strengthen economies and communities through real estate.”

Within the judging period, Oxford opened The Stack, the tallest office tower in Vancouver, and the first Zero Carbon – Design certified commercial tower in North America. Oxford also advanced its 3 million square foot life sciences development project at Philadelphia’s Navy Yard. Poised to create inclusive opportunities for the highly diverse city of Philadelphia, US$1B has been committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives via this landmark development—one of the largest-ever global commitments for a development. The World's Most Innovative Companies stands as Fast Company's hallmark franchise and one of its most anticipated editorial efforts of the year. Fast Company's editors and writers identified the companies driving progress around the world and across industries, evaluating thousands of submissions through a competitive application process.

Brendan Vaughan, Editor-in-Chief at Fast Company, said: “Our list of the Most Innovative Companies is both a comprehensive look at the innovation economy and a snapshot of the business trends that defined the year. We saw extraordinary innovation across the board in 2023, but we also saw a handful of clear patterns: the growing footprint and impact of AI, the triumphant return of live events, and great leaps forward in climate tech. We face daunting challenges on many fronts, but the solutions we celebrate in MIC give me plenty of hope about the future.”
