Oxford Properties announces Sara Queen as new Head of the US

The highly respected industry figure brings strong track record of leading teams through cycles, operating at scale and investing across asset classes

Oxford Properties Group (“Oxford”), a leading global real estate investor, developer and manager, today announced the appointment of Sara Queen as Executive Vice President and Head of US, starting July 20, 2026. Based in New York, Sara will report directly to Eric Plesman, President & CEO of Oxford, and will serve on Oxford’s global Executive and Investment Committees.

As Head of US, Sara will have overall responsibility for the strategic leadership, performance and growth of this region. The US is a core market for Oxford where, together with its platform companies, it manages approximately US$19B of assets and accounts for approximately 40% of Oxford’s global portfolio across equity and credit investments.

Queen is a highly accomplished and well-respected industry executive with over three decades of US real estate experience across asset management, investment and operations. She most recently served as Head of Real Estate Equity at MetLife Investment Management, where she successfully led a US$38B real estate platform with a team of more than 150 people across seven offices. Her role saw her oversee investment strategy and execution, portfolio and asset management, and development. During her tenure, she helped drive double-digit growth in gross AUM and annual revenue while leading US$11B in acquisitions.

Prior to MetLife, Sara held senior leadership roles at Mapletree, Brookfield, and Clarion Partners. Sara holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and, in addition, has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University for the Master of Science in Real Estate Development program since 2011.

Sara is active in numerous real estate organizations, currently serving on ULI’s Global Executive Board and as a Global Governing Trustee, as well as being involved in WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate. She is a member of the Vestry of Trinity Church (NYC), participating in its investment committee that oversees a US$5B endowment. Additionally, she recently served as the board chair for Solar One, an organization dedicated to creating more sustainable and resilient urban environments. 

Oxford has been active in recent months in the US. It recently entered the US open-air retail market via the acquisition of a 1 million square foot portfolio in Austin and kicked off 2026 by announcing the full US$2.45B capitalization of the 70 Hudson Yards office development, future home to Deloitte’s 800,000 square foot headquarters.
