Canada’s premier super-regional shopping centre, Yorkdale, is the site of an ambitious $42 million redevelopment designed to further enhance the Yorkdale shopping experience. Oxford, which owns the property and planned all aspects of the renovation, is overseeing all redevelopment activities. A new wing, complete with first-to-market retailers, was constructed and traffic flow through the entire shopping centre was reengineered to encourage more circulation. In addition, aesthetic changes were made throughout the mall to promote a relaxed shopping experience.

The redevelopment project has generated significant interest and made Yorkdale the shopping centre of choice with high street appeal for domestic retailers and international retailers entering the Canadian market.
