Oxford partnered with Gould Property Company – a Washington-based team with a similar long-term strategy to Oxford in investments and development – to develop 900 New York Avenue NW in Washington. The 50/50 joint venture to develop a 12-storey, 620,000 square foot office building with ground level retail will complement the existing master planned CityCenterDC area to create a 24/7 pedestrian friendly live, work, shop and play neighbourhood.
We partnered with Gould Property because we recognized quickly that our goals were aligned. The strategic, well located site is considered to be one of the best undeveloped office sites in the city. We seek opportunities where we are able to take an active role in our investments and bring to the table expertise in acquiring, financing, leasing and development as well as a commitment to funding through the benefit of our parent company, OMERS.
